Mt. Auburn Cemetery is one of the most beautiful and history landscapes in America. Thousands of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants weave through 175 acres of hills, dells, ponds, woodlands and clearings. Enjoy a guided tour of seasonal horticultural highlights and then lunch and leisure on your own in Harvard Square. The afternoon will conclude with a guided tour of Arnold Arboretum, one of the best preserved of Frederick Law Olmsteds landscapes with one of the most comprehensive and best documented collections of trees, shrubs, and woody vines in the world. Both tours will involve 90 minutes of walking on sometimes uneven terrain with occasional rest stops.
